Bulls now on test

Our 2011 bull calves officially started their winter test period on Thursday. Check out their stats on the "Bulls for Sale" page. We have 4 of our own bulls as well as one for Colby MacQuarrie of Winsloe, PEI on home test here at the farm and one bull going on test at the Maritime Beef Testing Station in Nappan, NS.

The 13th annual Angus in Action Sale was another success. Many thanks to the organizers and consignors as well as the buyers. Our purebred heifer, Worth-a-Bit Blackcap 13X was purchased by Weldon Estabrooks of Sackville, NB and our commercial heifer is going to Richard Feeney in Harvey Station, NB.

Half brother to our herdsire named reserve champion at Olds

HF Hemi 176W was recently named reserve champion Angus bull at the Olds Fall Classic in Olds, Alberta. He and our herdsire HF Torque 171W are both sired by HF Hemi 151T. We have some great heifer calves in the pasture now by Torque and are really looking forward to his 2012 calves.

Every one of her EPDs is well above the breed average, with her birth weight EPD in the top 7% of the breed and yearling weight in the top 20%. Another CSA season comes to an end

As summer turns to fall, this week marks the end to another CSA (community supported agriculture) season.
