It has been the driest summer since 1964.
This is a water hole in one of our pastures.
This field was cut 5 weeks ago. Normally there would be close to 2 feet of regrowth.

We started feeding hay on Monday. The pastures are toast here as we have had very little rain here since May. It is raining as I type this but the 10 mm they are forecasting won't make a dent in what we need.

For the past three years we have partnered with
Jen and Derek Campbell in their CSA (community Supported Agriculture) subscription program. Interested families sign up for several months of vegetable and/or beef boxes delivered to them and in return they are informed of the progress of the crop and animals thru the growing season and know they are getting excellent quality local and healthy food for their families.
