With 32ncalves on the ground we are just over half done for the season. Last week was extremely cold here (-30 degrees celcius windchill) so the poor little guys had a rude awakening to the world. Lots of straw and momma's love keep the newborns warm but when the temperature dips this low a little extra protection is needed for the ears.

It looks like it is going to be a bull year, of the 32 calves so far, 22 are male!  14 of the calves are purebred angus and 10 of those are male!
