May seemed to go by so fast. It must have been all the time I spent looking out the window at all the rain! Last week the sun came out, the ground dried and I finally took off my touque. Barley and oats were put in last week and the soybeans will go in the ground this week.
The breeding season went well with AI sires used being Mercedes Benz and Eye Candy for club calves and Eastondale Breakaway, Old Post, Connealy Thunder, Soo Line Kodiak 9095 and Red Six Mile Sakic for the purebred Angus herd as well as our herdsires Worth-a-Bit New Frontier 1U and HF Torque 171W.
The asparagus season is underway on PEI so for the next month if you dine at some of the Island's finest restaurants you might be enjoying Dixon Farms asparagus! We sell direct off the farm so if you are interested in some drop by.
