Happy New Year!

We hope everyone had a great Christmas and are hoping for a prosperous 2014. 

2013 ended with some terrible weather conditions here. We averaged a storm every 2.5 days and have more snow than we had all last winter, in fact this was the first white Christmas in 10 years. There is a lot of snow on the rooves, some buildings have been lost. We are now in a cold snap with -34 wind chill tonight so we just can't seem to get a break.

Angus Central Grand Opening

Trevor Welch, Mack Dixon, Jim and Hilda Colodey and myself recently traveled to Calgary, Alberta to take in the grand opening of the Canadian Angus Association new building. It is a beautiful facility that all members should be proud of.

Calving time is fast approaching. We have a few club calves due before the new year starting on Nov. 30th and the purebreds will start in January.

Bulls now on test

Our 2013 bull calves were weighed on test yesterday. They will be fed a high forage ration throughout the winter ending in March and are available for sale anytime. Check out their progress here.
