It has been a busy month here. We have been catching up on odd jobs and repairs the last couple of weeks as well as training calves. I went to the New Brunswick Beef Expo on the weekend and had a successful and great time. I arrived with 6 head and came home with 3! Many thanks to Mark Oulton for all his help and the Expo crew, especially Gale and Linda Lackie for all their hard work.
We are consigning 4 bred heifers to the Angus in Action Sale in Nappan, N. S. on October 16th. Two purebred heifers are from our top cow families and the two commercials are solid maternal females and all will be two and a half years old when calving for added peace of mind. They are short bred to our new herdsire HF Torque 171W and will be the first ever to sell with his service.
I have booked my tickets for a trip to Farmfair in Edmonton. I am looking forward to the national Angus show, the Canadian Finals Rodeo and doing some touring in the Edmonton area.
